Badger Lake Ranch has been in existence since 1973. We produce on average 6,000 to 8,000 bales each year.
We control the production of the grass hay from start to finish. This means that we prepare the ground, seed the grass, fertilize the grass, irrigate the grass, cut the grass, rake the grass, bale the grass, stack the bales and finally - store stacked bales in a covered hay barn. Weed control is also part of the process.
The baler is set so that each bale is easily managed for feeding. This makes the average bale around 65-70 pounds.
